| What is Spot Alerter and what is it used for? |
Spot Alerter is an Android application that provides alert notifications based on a Spot or Location.
The speciality of Spot Alerter is the ability to notify when you enter a Spot/Location as well as when you exit a Spot/Location.
The following are a few ways to use Spot Alerter:
Have you ever worried if you switched off the stove or closed the garage door before leaving home? If so, you can use Spot Alerter to remind you each time you leave your home.
Have you ever been embarrassed to hear your phone ring in the middle of an important business meeting or in churches or other places of worship? If so, you can use Spot Alerter to provide you a subtle reminder before you enter these places.
Do you want to be reminded of making a purchase when you pass by a store in the near future? If so, you can use Spot Alerter for that.

| How to add a Spot Alert? |
To add a Spot Alert:
Make sure the GPS is enabled to read your current location.
From the Home Screen, click the 'Add Alert' button.
If you wish to type the Address instead of the current location, Click the 'Type Address' button.
Select the Inside/Outside option.
Enter the text that you want to be notified when your Alert is triggered.
Click the Save button when you are done.

| How to edit a Spot Alert? |
To edit a Spot Alert:
From the Home Screen, click the 'Edit' button for the Spot Alert you want to edit.
Make the changes you need and click Save button when you are done.

| How to remove a Spot Alert? |
To remove a Spot Alert:
From the Home Screen, click the 'X' button for the Spot Alert you want to remove.

| Why do I get multiple notifications when I am at the same place? |
The application evaluates the alerts every 5 minutes based on your current Spot Alerts and ensures you receive notification when any Alert criteria is satisfied.

| Why am I not able to add more than 5 Spot Alerts? |
There is a limit of 5 Spot Alerts with the Spot Alerter Home Edition.

| What is the 'Proximity Index' in the User Setting Screen? |
Proximity Index can be any number greater than zero. When Proximity Index is lower, Alerts will be evaluated more often. An ideal setting would be a Proximity Index of 5.

| Why does my device battery not last long when using Spot Alerter? |
Spot Alerter requires GPS enabled and this consumes battery power. Please charge the device when not it is not in use.
